In the late 50s, Gibson used "deep anchor" strap buttons Les Paul Standards. Other vintage models had smaller screws and smaller screw holes in the buttons. Considering that most Customs weighed more than Standards, we decided to offer an aged gold version.
The buttons are made from aged gold-plated aluminum. The screws are #8 x 1.5-inch aged nickel-plated steel.
