The bridge is made of zinc alloy with brass saddles. The tailpiece is made from featherweight aluminum. Both pieces are made to Gibson Custom Shop Historic specifications, but we've taken it step further by using thin, brass thumbwheels for the best vintage tone.
Includes steel bridge and tailpiece studs. The bridge studs have a small allen wrench hole machined into one end so that they can be easily adjusted for height even after the bridge is installed on the guitar. If you've ever experienced an ABR-1 stud that protrudes from the bridge hole and digs into your hand when you play, you'll especially appreciate this feature. Adjustment wrench included.
We now offer, as an option, to slot and polish the bridge saddles because many of our customers have asked for it. We slot them in the center for the best universal fit. However, we continue to recommend that the bridge be on your guitar before the saddles are cut so that the strings can be properly aligned with the polepieces of the pickups and the edges of the fingerboard.
Choose your finish from the menu at the top of this description: NOS (new and shiny) or aged LIX Patina. LIX is the Roman numeral for 59. Aged CreamTone parts have the look of well-worn pieces from that era.
