We took the shape from an original 1953 guard and incorporated screw-hole placement and pickup spacing to fit today's USA and Historic Les Pauls!
Made with the correct .09 sheet material in a beautiful shade of cream (that's not pink, as some Gibson plastic tends to be), with no bevel and authentic chatter marks along the edge of the guard, just like a vintage piece from the 50s.
Available in our NOS, LIX Patina, or Extreme LIX finishes.*
NOS - No intentional aging. A few light marks may be present that reflect the handcrafted nature of our parts.
LIX Patina - LIX is the Roman numeral for 59. These parts are lightly to look and feel like well-loved parts from that era.
Extreme LIX - Heavily worn yet still perfectly functional. Each is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece created by our artists.
