Finished in NOS nitrocellulose lacquer. The idea for Fiesta Red with white racing stripes came from the jacket Elvis wore in the movie, Speedway.
This beauty is no "partscaster." The body was cut from clear pine taken from a tree that grew not far from our shop. Fender used clear pine (clear meaning no knots) on some of their earliest solid bodies. Properly cured, it's lightweight, and extremely resonant. The neck is stunning flame maple selected especially for this guitar.
Over a year in the making! Master-built by the Shinn brothers at Lay's Guitars (who have signed the back of the headstock). The face of the headstock has our CreamTone logo and lightning icon. At the time, we only intended to build one guitar, so we used a familiar headstock design. All future builds will be done with an original headstock design for legal purposes, so we guarantee this is a one-of-a-kind instrument.
Built using CreamTone NOS parts especially selected to enhance the unique character of this guitar:
- Hardware features NOS nickel Kluson tuners, along with our nickel bridge with compensated brass saddles, and machined aluminum control plate. Fender Pure Vintage Jazz knobs, Electrosocket aluminum jack, and Grover nickel strap lock system.
- Electronics include our A3 Deluxe humbucker with NOS nickel cover and surround at the neck, and A3 Copperhead bridge, wired with our Brown Sugar Blend Harness.
For the case, we chose a new Fender C&G brown model with plush yellow lining. This is one of the best hardshell cases available and is used by the Fender Custom Shop to carry some of their finest guitars. Case candy includes a CreamTone build sheet and COA, along with a bottle of our Body Luster and microfiber cloth, and a few of our favorite picks.
