If you follow the forums, you may already be familiar with her story. This is the infamous Hawkburst! To quickly recap: MyLesPaul Forum member "Hawk" sold the guitar to finance his daughter's wedding. In transit, the headstock was broken. The repair had already been done when we got the guitar, and it is a beautiful job. Totally pro and nearly invisible. In fact, it looks great with the aging and gives this guitar a vibe on par with famous original Bursts like the Peter Green and Rossington. It is solid as a rock. It weighs 9.5 pounds.
The finish is original and the Murphy aging is phenomenal. The rest of the guitar is pure CreamTone!
The classic Lifton OHSC, Gibson COA signed by Tom Murphy, and booklet are included along with a CreamTone COA.
It has been set up with new Ernie Ball Slinky pure nickel strings and dialed in to play like a dream. Of course, things can settle a bit during shipping and minor adjustments may be necessary when you unpack it, so we're including an extra set of strings in the case.
