Jack Plate for Gibson Historic, Vintage or USA Les Paul • Jimmy Page Inspired • Square Machined Aluminum

Vintage cream jack plates are beautiful pieces. When Jimmy Page first acquired Number One from Joe Walsh in the late 60s, it still had its original jack plate.

For the next few years, Jimmy did his best to keep it on the guitar. Near the end, he turned it and drilled new holes to hold it in place. Here are two photos from Led Zeppelin's Australian tour in February, 1972.

But it wasn't long before the plastic gave up for good, and metal took its place. The story is that Jimmy's was cut by his tech before a show and he was in a rush. It wasn't the cleanest job but it did the trick, and it's been on Number One ever since.

Our jack plate is machined from solid .0625 aluminum and hand-polished. It's cut to the same specs as the original and we guarantee it won't break. 

Includes two sets of steel screws: #3 which is the size of the stock screws, and #4 which is one size larger, in case your holes are stripped.
