We're always looking for ways to give players of Gibson USA guitars the most bang for their buck when the time comes to upgrade to the old-school look.
The Axiom engraves the correct 1959-60 font on .03 two-ply material that's the perfect shade of cream on top, with a layer of clear underneath. Once installed, the color of your guitar, along with the shadows and highlights of the engraving, create the color of the letters on the chip. It looks fantastic on any finish.
This process eliminates the shop time necessary to gold fill and age the chips from our handcrafted Absolute Vintage line, so we can offer these pieces at a very attractive price point.
